Roasted and ground Desert Oak (Acacia Coriacea) is another species of wattle and can be used in the same way as the more popular Wattleseed (Acacia Victoriae) 

This ingredient imparts a coffee-like aroma and peanut butterish like taste so is versatile enough to flavour icecream and desserts as well as meats and full-flavoured seafood such as salmon and tuna.

    Love Wattleseed. I use it folded through vanilla icecreama dn then refreeze it. Yum!! Also makes beautiful biscuits that disappear quickly. Flavour similar to hazelnut and coffee with a nice gritty texture. Great product!!
