Native Currant (leucopagan parviflora) is found in coastal dunes and heath in south-east Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, south-west Western Australia and Tasmania as well as New Zealand.
The fruit are quite tasty when they ripen to a white colour particularly for Silvereyes, Rosellas, Crested Bellbirds, White-browed Scrubwrens and Spiny-cheeked Honeyeaters. The fruit is mainly eaten as a snack as the majority of the berry is the pip with limited flesh
