Sunrise Lime

The Australian Sunrise Lime is a hybrid of the finger lime and a calamondin (cross between a mandarin and cumquat) created by the CSIRO.
They can be eaten whole like a cumquat or turned into jam, marmalade or preserved in alcohol.
Delicious when eaten fresh from the tree - skin and all from February to June. Sunrise Lime skin is sweet whilst the inside is tangy. It’s very versatile and goes well in salads, with fish and shellfish, or used in preserves.
With its elegant golden-orange skin and small pear-like shape, this hybrid fruit is bursting with zesty citrus flavour and a delicate sweetness.
