Native Juniper (Myoporum insulare) 

– berries from the Boobialla shrub, when crushed and infused leaves a unique mild juniper like flavour.

This salt tolerant fruiting shrub is native to Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales growing wild on dunes, coastal cliffs and mangrove fringes.

As Summer ends it produces smooth, round, purple fruits with an astringent sweetness that are great for jams, jellies and preserves .
