Wild Rosella Iced Tea - makes approx 2-3 litres

  • 3 cups water (boiling)
  • 1 packet Wild Rosella Iced Tea
  • 6 cups water (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or sugar substitute)
  • 1 to 2 cups ice (if you need to serve it immediately)
  1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil and pour over rosella flowers.  Let the flowers soak in the water for about 20 minutes.

  2.  Pour through a strainer into a large jug.  (Discard flowers or save for another purpose.)
  3.  Add the sugar and stir for 1 to 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
  4.  Pour in remaining 6 cups of water and taste for sweetness.
  5.  Add more sugar or water if necessary

Variation:  add a teaspoon of Strawberry Gum flakes.
