Small Leafed Tamarind is a tasty tangy fruit which is refreshing when eaten raw or can be used in jams, jellies, drinks, chutneys and sauces.
Its distinctive, tarty flavour lends itself to both sweet and savoury applications.
There are only approximately 30 trees remaining in the wild of Northern NSW. This small evergreen tree reaches 7-8m in an open garden environment providing a beautiful rich green spreading crown. When mature the bright red-coated seeds emerge in mid summer.
